Almost There

by Sam Valladares, February 15, 2014

There has to be a counsel unfound,

There needs to be a wisdom waiting;

With everlasting patience for that one hound,

A two-part being seeking awakening.

An asunder soul knows not how to abound,

But a deep burning hunger knows no limits;

One piercing word to the lonely, sounds out,

So the lost and searching rise to repentance.

Oh what a life is on your horizon,

As for me, I have been redeemed;

So truly, let bygones be bygones,

Call upon Him, and my Lord too shall save you!

Almost There is a poem by Sam Valladares about about the soul’s struggle to find redemption, and the joy of the calling to share salvation with others.
