Thanks for letting me provide you with a few verses to help you with your walk with God. These have helped me come a long way because with them I’ve learned how much God cares for me, I’ve learned how to trust in God no matter what comes my way, and how to rely on Him in whatever I do. I’m not perfect, and none of us are, which is why these verses (and many more) serve a great purpose in our lives. God’s Word teaches us who God is, and what His role is in our lives. So I’d recommend to anyone making studying God’s Word a daily activity. I’ve done this myself and it taught me not only more about how to live how He wants me to, it also gave me reassurance and confidence in Him. Trust in God grows and grows according to our heart for Him, by learning His Word and applying it. So I know these will prove to be really useful in your life.

Notes on verses:

  • [Phil 4:13] the source of the strength is God, working through the accomplishment of Christ; reliance on God is emphasized
  • [Is 33:6] refers to God’s “wisdom” and “knowledge”, not man’s; “fear” is the Hebrew word yir’ah for “reverence”
  • [I Jn 1:5] this verse is doubly emphatic, and by the use of “at all,” His pureness is established
  • [Jer 17:8] uses a simile to convey he/she who trusts God is grounded and stable because God is stable
  • [Lk 12:7] the point is that God knows you very well and you are a important to Him
  • [Eph 2:5] “quickened”: refer to [Romans 8:11]
  • [Phil 4:7] “shall keep” is the Greek word phroureō meaning “guard/protect”

The verses included in this post start and end with your relationship with God through Jesus Christ {[Phil 4:13] and [Phil 4:6,7]}.  Click here to read the poem Almost There by Sam Valladares about making that connection with God through salvation.
